We’re looking for an experienced Property Inspector (Inventory Clerk) to join our team in the West London and Middlesex areas. The role at a glance You’ll be responsible for inspecting rental properties and preparing detailed reports at key stages of the tenancy lifecycle. This is a full-time employed position with a mix of fieldwork and reporting. Day-to-day duties include: • Compiling inventories for new tenancies, documenting condition and contents. • Conducting check-ins and completing key handovers for new tenants. • Carrying out mid-term inspections, noting ongoing condition and maintenance issues. • Conducting check-outs, recording the property’s condition at tenancy end. • Using tablet-based technology to dictate findings, upload photos and create professional reports. • Liaising with agents, landlords and tenants, representing SRP professionally at all times. What we’re looking for: • Previous experience as an inventory clerk is essential. • High standard of written English, fluent spoken English, and excellent attention to detail. • Strong IT skills and confidence using mobile technology. • Reliable, professional and self-managed – able to work independently in the field. • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed at HMRC rates). You’ll need a good working knowledge of current property industry regulations and legislation, as well as a proven dedication to ensuring impeccable standards are constantly met throughout the organisation. The role will see you taking full responsibility for everything connected with quality and compliance in our company. Duties will include: - Setting and managing quality control procedures
- Reporting and dealing with non-conformance issues
- Proof reading property inspection reports
Your qualities will include the ability to deal with changing and sometimes challenging situations; excellent IT skills; an affinity for prioritising, planning and organising your own workloads in a busy environment, and top communication skills. Hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. |
